About Us

Carter Marine Limited is a forward thinking independently owned Company with our Principal operating base in Felixstowe, Suffolk, home of the UK’s largest Container Port. The Company was formed at the beginning of the year 2000, by Richard Carter

Richard has worked in the Shipping Industry since 1979 having first served as a Navigation and Deck Officer in the British Merchant Navy. Since 1987 he has been based in East Anglia and formed the Company to provide a high quality responsive service to the Shipping, Freight Forwarding and Insurance industries. Carter Marine act as Independent Surveyors and Transit Claims Consultants.

Richard has extensive cargo surveying and loss investigation experience, both in the UK and internationally.

We have undertaken assignments throughout many of the EU countries plus world-wide assignments including Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, Canada, USA, South Africa, Egypt, Zambia & Israel.
